In Samburu tradition, three stones are put in a circle to place a pot to prepare the soup.In this way one stone represents the Environment, one stone represents the Wildlife, and one stone represents the People. When all three come together they create a place for the pot called Community and the soup is Peace and Prosperity!
The Lodge is owned by Nkoteiya Community.
The Community has agreed to keep their shepherds and
livestock out of the core conservation area so as not to
compete with the elephants, leopards, greater kudu, etc.
for grass and water. In return your monies go to support the
Nkoteiya Community. Thanks in advance for supporting our
Eco-Lodge but more importantly investing in our children's future!
